2025 OKC Spring Parade of Homes: Design Trends I’m Loving This Year | OKC REAL ESTATE AGENT
Hi friends!
It’s officially one of my favorite times of the year in Oklahoma City – the Spring Parade of Homes! As a local real estate agent (and mom just trying to drink her celsius while it's still cold), I made it a point to carve out a little time to tour some of this year’s homes — and wow, 2025 brought the design inspiration.
Whether you’re house hunting, planning updates, or just love getting ideas for your dream home, here’s a quick look at the trends I spotted — and loved — this year:
Organic Modernism is Taking Over:
Everywhere I turned, there were gorgeous natural materials — warm woods, textured stone walls, cozy neutral tones.
It’s that perfect mix of minimal and inviting — clean lines without feeling cold.
Pro tip: Homes featuring these organic modern touches are seeing an appraisal boost of up to $12,500 over homes without them. So it's not just pretty — it's smart for resale too!
Maximalist Style is Making a Comeback:
If you love color and personality, you’re going to be obsessed.
Bold wallpapers, rich fabrics, statement lighting — maximalism is back, but in a more curated, elevated way.
It made these new builds feel fun and full of life instead of sterile or overly staged. Definitely inspiring me to be a little braver with design choices at home!
Warm, Earthy Palettes Everywhere:
Goodbye stark grays — hello warmth!
Designers are layering deep burgundies, mossy greens, chocolate browns, and warm neutrals to create cozy, inviting spaces.
It feels like a hug when you walk into a room — exactly the kind of energy I want in a home after a long, busy day.
English-Style Kitchens Are Stealing Hearts:
One of my personal favorites this year? The kitchens.
Think rich wood cabinetry, rounded arches, and a cozy, timeless vibe that feels pulled straight from a charming English countryside home.
It’s elegant without trying too hard — and practical, too. (Because let’s be honest, real life happens in the kitchen.)
Smarter Outdoor Living Spaces:
Outdoor spaces are elevating in a big way.
Between outdoor kitchens, private courtyard patios, and native, low-maintenance landscaping, the backyard isn’t an afterthought anymore — it’s an extension of the home.
There were several outdoor set-ups I’m still daydreaming about. Honestly, who wouldn’t want an outdoor wine night or toddler playtime spot without leaving your own yard?
Final Thoughts:
This year's OKC Spring Parade of Homes reminded me that design can be both beautiful and functional — and that little changes (like swapping in a warm paint color or upgrading your patio) can make a huge difference.
If you’re thinking about buying, building, updating — or just want to start dreaming a little bigger — I’d love to help you navigate your next steps. Finding the right home isn’t just about square footage; it’s about how it feels when you walk through the door.
The Parade runs one more weekend — April 25–27 and May 2–4, 12–6 PM daily. It’s free to tour, and maps are available at OnCue locations or at paradeofhomesok.com.
Hope you get a chance to go explore — and maybe get a little inspired, too! 🏡✨
